Make a(nother) U-turn where possible....

With Microsoft making yet another U-turn on their Xbox One policies, this time that Kinect is "now longer required" (they're almost Tony Blair like with how often they change their minds)...
I managed to stumble across an old (ish) video of MS demonstrating the Kinect 2.0. And don't get me started on the hyperbolic NSA scaremongering that everyone was prattling on about saying that Kinect was always going to be monitoring everything you do... all new laptops have cameras these days, and its not like they are watching everything you do.... :/

It is seriously impressive tech, and a massive step forward from the original Kinect, and dare I say, what Kinect 1.0 was supposed to be, at least in the minds of gamers and journalists...

It seems as though this time, I might not have to buy a 3rd party peripheral in order to use Kinect 2.0 in my English standard size living room...
